My Serein Journey
I graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree in May 2021. Within no time, I had to answer questions like, ‘What now?’.
The pandemic was the reason I lost a lot of my motivation. I was exhausted, demotivated and aimless.
I didn’t have answers.
It was right about that time that I learnt about this company called Serein. I was curious now.
A female-led organization that provides guidance with the implementation of PoSh, Well-being, Diversity and Inclusion? Wow, this was something that piqued my interest.
I immediately found the motivation to put in the work for the interview. I knew I couldn’t let go of this opportunity.
They say, everything falls into place at the right time. Whoever they might be, they are absolutely correct.
The interview was so heartwarming, friendly and welcoming. I was selected by the Serein Team and that is one achievement that made 3 whole pages in my diary.
A week into working with the team and I knew that I was in safe hands. Respect is all over the place like confetti.
I sure had my anxious thoughts of underperforming or disappointing my seniors. But, not once did I feel stressed or pressured. I don’t even understand how time has flown by so fast.
I learnt design, communication, research, problem solving, punctuality and many other notable skills.
But, what I will take away most is the inspiration.
The women here are resilient, empathetic, hard working and extremely confident.
Over 2 months with the team and I can say this – Serein is a place that runs on values that are encouraging and empowering. It is a place where you learn, you grow and you soar to greater heights.
Serein has given me vision and taught me how vulnerability is one of the greatest strengths to have.
I hope and wish to return soon.
